Just a few days ago a friend of ours gave us a collection of 70+ caps and hats for us to sell. The majority of these are what is known as Mesh Snapback Trucker Hats. Some of these can fetch some nice dollars, especially those that are truly vintage with older company logos. It's good to keep a look out for these styles of hats while you are our thrifting, picking and Goodwill hunting.
This vintage American Airlines Trucker Hat sold with in 24-hours of listing it. Not bad for no cost inventory. We've said it before and it's worth repeating, let people know you're selling on eBay and you will surprised at how much stuff they will give to you with no expectation of a piece of the profit.
We struck the mother load a couple of weeks ago on Chico's Platinum Denim women's jeans during $1 day at our local Goodwill. We bagged 17 pairs of these jeans that are in excellent condition. Several pair have already sold and have more than made up our costs. Each pair that sells now is all profit, after shipping cost of course. ROI = 960% in 2 weeks.
Another resale item to look out for are microwave ovens. This vent door motor came off a working microwave oven that was picked for $1 at Goodwill. There are many parts that can be salvaged and sold for some decent cash. We had already sold several other parts off this microwave, making this sale all profit.
Again, this item was given to us by a friend just to help us. With no inventory cost the ROI on this item after fees and shipping comes out to 1600%.
Let us know what's been selling for you by leaving a comment to this post. Hopefully this is helpful to others who are learning how to resell on Amazon, Bonanza, eBay and Etsy. Keep thrifting, picking and Goodwill hunting!
